Tell us about your role:
I oversee the creative side of the business, which involves managing the output of the studio, supporting teams, mentoring, learning, problem solving as well as being ‘hands on’ when it comes to digital design. I also spend a portion of my time involved in the commercial side of the business because I’m constantly looking for efficiencies but mainly because I’m a control freak.
What do you like best about agency life:
The crazy bunch of people I get to work with every day. I tell you if these office walls could talk …
What do you uphold as the most iconic brand & why:
I can’t answer that! Surely that’s the same as asking a mother to pick her favourite child?! There’s lots of iconic brands out there … Vogue, Coca-Cola, Nike, Tate, Penguin, Red Cross, the list is extensive, I couldn’t pick one!
Favourite ad ever:
One of the more memorable adverts for me is Budweiser’s ‘Wassup’ ad. When an ad makes it into popular culture you know it’s a winner. Wassssssuuppppp!!
Waves FM Radio and Made In Chelsea
When I’m not at work you can find me:
At home with Tequila Dave and our crazy dog Arthur.
Best advice in your chosen discipline:
Consume anything you find interesting.
Currently listening to:
Leon Bridges – River
Most inspired by (in industry/business):
The people I surround myself with every day, both at work and at home.
Tell us something we might not know about you:
I own 3 acoustic guitars, 1 electric guitar, 2 pianos, a violin, a harmonica and I only play one of those instruments to a semi acceptable standard!
Best advice you’d give your younger self:
Surround yourself with people who inspire you and don’t underestimate the value of a good work ethic.
How to get into your industry role:
I’m sure there’s lots of ‘textbook answers’ to this question but I believe it’s as simple as passion and drive – a passion for new ideas and the drive to make them real. Take your time and push yourself harder than anyone else but know that everyone finds their own path in the end.
